Hi there, my name is ZOEY (Zozo Diva in training for short). Im an 18 lb. black n tan 4 year old Dachshund girl, with an independent big dog personality. I had a family once, but when they had a baby I got very stressed, scared and confused. Instead of helping me, they sent me away. They told the people at the shelter that I was a bad dog. I dont know what they meant. All I know is that I got punished a lot and I didnt know how to act anymore. Even though I was fed at theshelter I was homesick and scared all the time. I had to share everything, even my food bowl. Then one night I took a long long ride to a foster home. I like it here. I have my own room (crate), my own bed, and my own food bowl. There are other dogs to hang out with and a yard to sniff and explore. Foster mom says to tell you that it took patience and time for me to really settle in and get better at handling change and stress. She says that I need and deserve a special family that will treat me like the diva I am, and that now Im ready to really look for them. Im a good watch dog. I like to go for walks, ride in the car, snuggle under the covers, play with my toys (I even share them now) and of course eat and get treats. I dont like to be picked up and handled like a little dog. Instead explain what you want me to do and I will try to do it. Im very smart and Ive learned a lot here. Sometimes mom even lets me walk home from the neighbors yard without my leash. Im not perfect yet. Im a work in progress, a Diva in training. Will you help me to keep learning to be that perfect dog?
