American Bulldog - Medium - Young - Male - Dog - MAX #2 (GROE)
Description
Max is an adorable boy - he's so trusting and loving, you can see it in his photos! He is gentle, sweet, loving and somewhat timid which should improve as he acclimates to this safer environment. Because of the dangerous and neglectful environment that he was in, he required immediate rescue. We suspect that he was attacked by another dog that left a terrible wound on his left hip which has been successfully treated. The scar is still visible in his picture but the hair is growing back. Max weighs about 40 lbs. and is approx. 1 1/2 years of age. Max did have non-contatious Demadex mange, now gone and treated successfully. Max is light positive for heart worms and the vet's recommendation was for him to be placed on an Ivermectin based heart worm prevention like Heartguard and should test negative for heart worms soon. Once heart worm negative, he can be placed on adopters preference for heart worm prevention. Now all Max needs is you to help him learn that the world can be a safe and loving place.
